The Town of Prosper contracts with Waste Connections, Inc. to provide household waste and recycling services to the residents.
Residential Bulky Item Collection
Free Bulk Trash Pick-Up – For residential customers bulk collection days are as follows:
From FM 1385 to Teel Pkwy. = first Monday of the month
From Teel Pkwy. to Preston Road = second Monday of the month
From Preston Road to Coit Road = third Monday of the month
From Coit Road to Custer Road = fourth Monday of the month

Details on solid waste collection
Our service day for people east of Preston Rd / Hwy 289 is Tuesday. For people west of Preston Rd / Hwy 289, it’s Friday.
Holidays — When a holiday occurs, trash service will be delayed by one day. Example: Labor Day is observed on a Monday. Trash service will occur on Wednesday & Saturday that week. Holidays include Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Years Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day. No other holidays will affect service.
Additional Services -To order additional trash or recycling carts, have excess trash or recycling carts removed, have your carts repaired, or have service issues please call the town’s utility billing department at (972) 346-2640.
Excess Trash – Waste Connections will only pick up items that fit into the trash container. Do no place items beside the container. They will not be picked up. Do not overstuff your container. If the lid does not close properly, Waste Connections will not empty the can.
Unacceptable Items — Do not place loose items such as grass clippings and packing peanuts in the container.
