AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF PROSPER, TEXAS, ADOPTING THE TOWN OF PROSPER 2022 PROPERTY TAX RATE; LEVYING TAXES FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 2022, AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2023, AT THE RATE OF $0.51 PER ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00) ASSESSED VALUE ON ALL TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE TOWN OF PROSPER, TEXAS, IN ACCORDANCE WITH EXISTING STATUTORY REQUIREMENTS; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING FOR A REPEALER CLAUSE; PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION OF THE CAPTION HEREOF ON THE TOWN’S HOME PAGE OF ITS WEBSITE; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

FY 2022-2023 Proposed Budget
The Town Council will hold a public hearing on the FY 2022-2023 Proposed Budget on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at 6:15 p.m. in the Council Chambers of Prosper Town Hall. This budget will raise will raise more total property taxes than last year's budget by $6,264,035, or 22.77%, and of that amount, $3,055,084 is tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this year.
The Town Council meets on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month in Council Chambers, located at 250 W. First Street, Prosper, TX 75078.
The Town Council welcomes you to speak on any agenda item, but respectfully requests that a Public Meeting Appearance Card be completed and submitted to the Town Secretary prior to the council meeting. This information is required by law to be included as part of the official record.
