SUCCESSFUL STUDENTS AND ATHLETES

Young Innovators: Renewable Energy, 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

This unique camp introduces children to renewable energy while getting hands-on by building solutions for modern-day problems! Activities include everything from building a solar oven to a small wind farm to spark interest in the world of wind, water/hydropower, solar, geothermal and biomass energy. In addition, concepts such as sustainability, natural disasters, cyber invasions, affordability, and increased productivity will be discussed to help children understand the roles they can play in building their future. 

Kid News: Channel FUN, 1:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

This is a kid favorite! Campers are introduced to broadcast journalism before putting on their very own broadcast! Camp time addresses the importance of working together, time management, and responsibility. Sign up today and get ready to see your child report the weather, sports, and more!

BRICKS 4 KIDZ

Galaxy Far Away:  June 5 - 9, 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

The force is strong with this camp! Join us for Jedi training as we build star fighters, land speeders, Yoda, R2-D2, Darth Vader, and more! "Out of this world" crafts and games make each day of camp fun and educational. Learn about our own space program and also build models inspired by Star Wars®.

Brick Battles:  June 5 - 9, 1:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Want to battle as a pokemon or transformer? You choose at this cool new camp! Each day, campers have a choice to build models based on the Transformers movie or Pokemon cartoons. Every day will finish with a battle of the bots to see who built the sturdiest model of the day!

Jurassic Brickland:  

Camp 1:  June 12 - 16, 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.

Camp 2: July 31 - Aug. 4, 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

 Are you ready for the adventure of a lifetime? Come build your own Jurassic Park with motorized/robotic dinosaurs! Campers build a gentle Brontosaurus, ferocious Velociraptor, Terrifying T. Rex, and more. Learn about dinosaurs that lived during the Jurassic Period and other extinct animals that roamed the earth and swam in the seas. Show us your building skills using our specialized kits and model plans.

Cost: $325 for full day, $170 for half day

MISSION TO MARS DRONE TECHNOLOGY

STEAM MEDIEVAL TIMES

Time to throw down the gauntlet! Come increase problem-solving, enhance critical thinking, and boost STEAM principles. Campers work with a group and form their feudal courts of lords and ladies. Let’s construct a castle, build bridges, launch cannon balls out of catapults, power windmills, design the tallest tower, and more.

ARTING WITH AMANDA: YOUNG ARTIST

Students will learn and explore with creativity! They will get to experience artmaking with various materials and all projects will be focused on using fine motor skills to develop skill.

AMUSING WEEK

Ah, the thrill of an amusement park…zipping around on racecars, zooming through the loops of a rollercoaster, trying your luck at a floating boat game, and enjoying a cold, refreshing ice cream treat at the end of a hot, sticky day! Can’t get better than that! During this camp, students will divide into competitive theme park teams. They will challenge other teams in specific engineering-related contests with the goal of creating the most fantastic and thrilling theme park experience. 

Students will compete against each other as they build and launch their race cars. The will also work in teams to design and build a roller coaster, a boat,  and make their own ice cream (which they get to eat!).

HIGH VOLTAGE HIJINKS

Power up! Grasp problem-solving methods, maximize attention to detail, improve communication skills, and experiment with a variety of STEAM principles. Brainstorm with peers to build basic electronics, bots, and circuits. Campers will complete hands-on engineering challenges to create wiggle bots, electromagnets, flashlights, and levitating cars to take home!

MINDS IN MOTION

Code and Control Robo Dozer, 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Build and take home your very own powerful robotic bulldozer and sleek handheld wireless controller!  With your own colored manual and the aid of your instructor, you will each assemble your Robo Dozer that consists of over 40 different robotic parts that includes a speaker, circuit board, motors, LED lights, and much more. Come learn the advantages and disadvantages of tracked vehicles, as well as examples of robots with continuous tracks.  Use the controller to command your robot to move around in all directions, play sounds, and light up its cab roof lights!  The special Code and Control wireless unit enables you to either directly control your Robo Dozer in real time or write and save sequences of commands for the robot to perform at the push of a button. Once completed, you can try a few experiments with your new Code and Control Robo Dozer and compete with your fellow classmates!

Future Engineers, 1:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

If you like to create and build things, this program is for you!  Take home your very own engineering kit!  You will build up to 8 working models including a material lift, stationary bike, crane bridge, construction crane, and a windmill!  With the aid of your instructor and the easy-to-follow manual, you will learn different scientific principles involving pulleys and mechanics. You will also learn about basic circuits as you construct a Maze Challenge, Flying Disc, Turbo Air, and Alarm System with our STEM Lab kit!  As future engineers, the STEM lab will teach you how to comprehend a schematic diagram and interpret the flow of electricity. Campers, design your own diagrams and watch your confidence soar as you transform wires, springs, and plastic parts into fully functioning circuits. Come obtain the necessary skills and experience to take on the technological challenges of the future!

CHESS STRATEGIES AND TACTICS

Come join in the fun and learn how to get started playing the lifelong game of chess! During camp, students learn about new chess techniques, important chess history, and notable chess games, all while playing against their peers! Use all the knowledge and skills learned and put them to the test with a tournament at the end of our camp session! This camp includes a small, unrated tournament at the end of the camp session for the campers! All supplies will be provided, including medals!
