How do I apply for a solicitor permit?: Please see the Application for Solicitor Permit to see how you can apply. There is a non-refundable registration fee of $25, which can be paid with a check (made out to 'Town of Prosper') or by credit or debit card online at https://www.msbpay.com/TownOfProsperPolice/. If paying online, your business name is the permit number. Once your application is complete, you can drop it off in person at the Prosper Police Department, 801 Safety Way, or email it to pdecords@prospertx.gov. 4. How do I submit a Police Department Public Information Request?: Please see the form on the Public Information Request page. If a case is currently in an 'active' status and has not reached a final disposition, you will only receive a copy of the media report for your requested case number. Please visit TxDot Crash Report to obtain a copy of an accident report.

5. How do I apply for an alarm permit?: If you have installed a monitored alarm system in your home, please apply for an Alarm Permit. Please note: if you live in the Artesia Subdivision, you are not in the jurisdiction of the Prosper Police Department. Instead, you will need to contact the Denton County Sheriff's Office for their alarm permit process. To contact the Sheriff's Office, please call (940) 349-1600.

6. How do I submit an Identity Theft Report?: If you are a victim of identity theft, take the following four steps, found in the Identity Theft Packet, as soon as possible. It is important to keep a record of the details of your conversations and copies of all correspondence. Once you have completed the four steps, return the packet to the Prosper Police Department located at 801 Safety Way, Prosper, TX 75078.

7. Is there an exchange station at the Police Station?: No, the Prosper Police Department does not have an exchange station.

8. How do I report reckless driving?: Reckless drivers can be reported to 9-1-1 if the location, direction of travel, and vehicle description are provided. Reckless drivers in Artesia should be provided to the Denton County Sheriff's Department.

9. How do I report speeding in my neighborhood?: Please give us a call at your convenience on our non-emergency line at (972) 347-2226. Our dispatchers will be able to assist in establishing a close patrol for the area and talk about scheduling to have a radar trailer placed. Thank you for reaching out to us.
