Prosper Trail (Kroger to Coit) Construction Update (08/08/2018) – RKM Construction continues to make progress on paving the Prosper Trail and Coit Road intersection. The first phase will be completed and traffic switched on Tuesday, August 13. As the contractor continues work on the remaining three phases of the intersection, traffic will be switched after completion of each phase. The contractor anticipates being complete with the entire intersection by August 30. Town staff will be on-site next week monitoring the traffic signal at the intersection during school hours to minimize the disruption for the traveling public. Thank you for your patience, and please use caution when traveling through the area during August due to multiple traffic switches.
Prosper Trail (Kroger to Coit) Construction Update (07/24/2019) – RKM Construction has experienced difficulty in getting lime delivered to the job site. Currently, they have a delivery scheduled for Friday, July 26th for the completion of paving on the intersection of Coit Road and Prosper Trail. A temporary concrete batch plant has been moved on site in preparation of pouring the concrete lanes. Town staff met with the RKM Project Manager on Wednesday, July 24th to review RKM’s construction schedule for paving of the Coit Road and Prosper Trail intersection. In the coming weeks, multiple traffic changes will be made as different sections of the intersection are paved. Thank you for your patience, and please use caution when traveling through the area.
Prosper Trail (Kroger to Coit) Construction Update (05/20/2019) – Weather permitting, crews will shift westbound traffic to the newly constructed lane on Tuesday, May 28. This traffic switch will provide additional room to subsequently move eastbound traffic and barrier rail, thus facilitating the construction of the final section of pavement adjacent to Deer Run. Once this traffic switch takes place, and until the eastbound lane is complete (estimated 14 days), residents in adjacent neighborhoods will have a “Right In & Right Out” condition for ingress and egress. Motorists are encouraged to use caution when traveling through the area.
Project scope: Improve two-lane rural roadway to a four-lane divided suburban arterial from 1000′ east of Preston road to Coit Road as well as the Coit Road and Prosper Trail intersection. Project includes concrete curb and gutter roadway, underground drainage improvements, and conduit for median lighting. The estimated construction end date is Summer 2019.
