Is your medicine cabinet in need of a purge? Prosper Fire Rescue, Prosper Police, Prosper ISD Police and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will be ready to collect and properly dispose of your prescription drugs during National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day on Saturday, April 30. The event will be held at the Central Fire Station located at 1500 W. First St. from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Please do not bring needles, syringes or inhalers to this event. Before dropping off, blackout your name and address on the prescription bottles, or pour medications directly into a disposable bag. Tablets, capsules and solid forms of medication are accepted. This is a safe and legal way to get rid of prescription pain pills and controlled-substance medications that can only be accepted for disposal in the presence of law enforcement.
