Mayor’s Fitness Challenge

Prosper families, join Mayor Ray Smith and Parks and Recreation in the annual Mayor’s Fitness Challenge!

Register today and download the tracking sheet.

For 90 days, we encourage you to focus on health and wellness by engaging in and documenting your fitness routine. Residents who log 1,170 total fitness minutes (an average of 90 minutes per week) over the course of the Challenge and turn in a completed tracking sheet will earn a free t-shirt and be entered to win a Fitbit.  Any type of exercise qualifies as trackable minutes and all ages are eligible to participate!

Earn a second entry into the Fitbit drawing by sending in a selfie that includes a Town of Prosper park or trail sign. Share your workout photos with us by using #ProsperMFC or email a photo to Trevor Helton at

We encourage you to log fitness minutes outside with nature in a Prosper park.  More than 22 miles of hike and bike trail await!

At a Town Council meeting later in the year, Mayor Smith will recognize all Challengers and announce the FitBit winner, selected by a random drawing.

How to join the Mayor’s Fitness Challenge:

Step One:  Register here (Prosper residents) and download the tracking sheet or pick one up at Parks and Recreation at 409 E. First Street.

Step Two:   Exercise at least 1,170 minutes (an average of 90 minutes weekly) from January 18 through April 18.

Step Three:  Document your fitness minutes on the tracking sheet.

Step Four:  Turn in the completed tracking sheet by April 24, 2022, to be entered to win a Fitbit and earn a free t-shirt. Upload your your tracking sheet or drop if off at Parks and Recreation.
