Prosper Community Picnic

September 7, 2019 : 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm @ Frontier Park

It’s Community Picnic time! Bring the family to the park on Saturday, September 7, from 4-7 p.m for a Prosper tradition! Free of charge, the Community Picnic is the perfect time to get to know your neighbors! Numerous attractions for kids are scheduled, including music, games, petting zoo, pony rides and inflatables.

Throughout the event, Bethlehem Place will collect canned goods (soup and tuna are requested) for its “Hunger is No Picnic” food drive, an annual school competition. The school that collects the most canned goods wins the travelling trophy! Folsom Elementary School took home the trophy in 2018.

Also, Cornerstone Assistance Network NCT will conduct a “September Santa” gift drive for unwrapped gifts for children ages 1 to 18 ($15-$40 value). You can help to make it a Christmas to remember for a local child.

Mayor Smith and Town Council members will serve hot dogs and Prosper-area nonprofit organizations and community partners will be on hand as exhibitors. Also, come get to know Town of Prosper staff, including fire and police personnel, Stormwater, CERT, and Water Education.

We extend a special thanks to Lighthouse Christian Fellowship, Prosper United Methodist Church, and the Prosper Ladies Association for graciously providing the food and drinks for this very special Town event!
