Closures & Cancellations

June 24th Update:

  • The Library is open to patrons with limited hours and occupancy.  Click here for more information.
  • “To-Go Service” is available for books and videos.  Virtual programming and an alternative Summer Reading Program is available.
  • Town playgrounds are open.
  • The Splash Pad at Frontier Park is open.
  • Town sports fields are open for practices and games.
  • Parks and Recreation programs, camps, classes, and tournaments will begin on July 6.
  • Adult softball will begin on July 12.
  • The 407 Rec Center will remain closed at least until August 1.

  • Municipal Court is providing many services online and via telephone. The Court will start live dockets, hearings and hopefully all facets of safe Court proceedings beginning the first part of July 2020.  Click here for more information.
  • Town Hall is still open, and Town staff is still working hard to provide you with the same excellent level of service.
  • The Town will re-evaluate closures and cancellations as needed based on guidance issued by Governor Abbott and public health officials, and take appropriate action as needed.

June 5th Update:

Parks and Recreation Update

May 18th Update:

Governor Abbott announced the second phase of his plan to re-open Texas in a press conference today.  Under Phase 2, restaurants may increase their occupancy to 50% capacity on May 22.  Other services and activities may open with limited capacity starting today, including child care centers.  For a full list of guidelines, openings, and dates, please visit: https://gov.texas.gov/organization/opentexas

  • The Community Library will begin To-Go services on Tuesday, May 19.
  • The 407 Rec Center will remain closed until further notice.
  • All Town programs, events, and activities are also suspended until further notice.
  • While some Municipal Court services are available, most proceedings have been postponed until July.
  • Town Hall is still open, and Town staff is still working hard to provide you with the same excellent level of service.
  • The Town will re-evaluate closures and cancellations as needed and take appropriate action.
  • We will closely monitor the spread of the virus over the next few weeks, and follow the guidance issued by Governor Abbott, to determine if and when Town facilities may open safely.

April 30th Update:

  • The Community Library and the 407 Rec Center will remain closed until May 18.
  • All Town programs, events, and activities are also suspended through May 18.

April 2, 2020 Update

  • The Town’s Emergency Operations Center has been partially activated, and conditions are being constantly monitored by emergency personnel.
  • All Town-sponsored programs, activities, and classes are suspended through April 30.
  • Town sports fields are closed through April 30.
  • Town playgrounds and outdoor workout facilities are closed.
  • The Prosper Public Library and the 407 Rec Center are closed through April 30.
  • Prosper Municipal Court is delaying all Court proceedings until May 1.
  • Town Council and Planning & Zoning Commission meetings will continue to be held.  Other non-essential Town Board/Commission meetings will be postponed until further notice.
  • All closures and cancellations will be reassessed and modified as conditions change.
  • All other Town offices will remain open during normal operating hours.
