The Purchasing Division strives to provide fair and open competition among potential vendors, for the purpose of procuring quality goods and services that provide the best value for the residents of the Town of Prosper; and to conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner that preserves public confidence in the Town’s procurement processes.

About the Purchasing Division

The Purchasing Division provides internal support to all Town departments, and ensures that procurement for goods and services is conducted within all legal constraints. The Purchasing Division also establishes vendor relationships in order to support Town operations. The Purchasing Division meets with vendors, as time permits. Achievement of Excellence in Procurement Award

The National Procurement Institute established a program in 1995 designed to recognize organizational excellence in public procurement. The Achievement of Excellence in Procurement® is awarded annually. This prestigious award is earned by those organizations that demonstrate excellence by obtaining a high score based on standardized criteria. The criteria are designed to measure innovation, professionalism, productivity, e-procurement and leadership attributes of the procurement organization. The Purchasing Division has received this award every year since 2014.
