Citizens Academy

The 2021 Citizens Academy has been postponed indefinitely. Applicants for this class will be contacted.

The Town of Prosper is excited to offer our very first Citizens Academy. Below are details about this exciting new program:

  • Ten-week program runs from September 9 – November 9, 2021
  • Meetings are held from 6-8 p.m. each Thursday
  • Each session will be held in person at a Town of Prosper facility
  • Class is limited to the first 20 eligible residents


Our first Citizens Academy Class is now full. We look forward to hosting another class in the future. Please follow us on social media for updates about more opportunities to get involved with your community.


  • Citizens Academy is open to Town of Prosper Residents age 18 and older, who are registered to vote in the Town of Prosper
  • Participants are asked to commit to attending at least eight of the ten sessions
  • Participants are encouraged to attend at least one Town Council meeting during the course of the Academy
  • The Town reserves the right to limit participation to one member per household

Week 10: GraduationThe program will conclude with a reception and recognition at the Town Council meeting on Tuesday, November 9
