Public Information Request

The Town of Prosper is committed to open and responsive government in accordance with the Texas Public Information Act. All requests for public information must be made in writing. For all other public information requests, please fill out the form below.

You may also submit your request in person at Prosper Town Hall, 250 W. First Street, Prosper, Texas, 75078.

Charges associated with public information requests will be in accordance with the Texas Administrative Code.

  • Date Format: MM slash DD slash YYYY
  • Information requested under the Texas Open Records Act, Texas Government Code, Chapter 552. Please be specific or clarification will be required.
  • Copies will be $.10 for each page after 10 pages. For 50 or more pages, the charge shall be $.10 for each page plus personnel time charged at $15 per hour. (Nonstandard size copies are more. Per Texas Administrative Code; General Services Commission, Chapter 111, Subchapter C, Rule 111.63

    The Public Information Act does not require the Town to perform research, answer questions, or create new records in response to a request.

    Requests that require extensive research are subject to a $15/hour labor charge, plus overhead costs in accordance with the Texas Public Information Act.

  • This request form makes no guarantee that the information being requested will be subject to public inspection and the Town of Prosper reserves the right to assert any statutory exemption under the Open Records Act or any other applicable laws governing disclosure. This form does not apply if medical records are being sought.
