Celebrate Prosper in the Park September 25 at Frontier Park

PROSPER (September 14, 2021) Live blues and jazz musicians will take center stage at Prosper’s Fall event, Celebrate Prosper in the Park, on Saturday, September 25 from 5-9 p.m. The free outdoor community event will be hosted at the Town’s Frontier Park, the perfect backdrop to enjoy a relaxing evening with neighbors and friends.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket and picnic for the sounds of The Halftones, Fingerprints, and Little Elmo & The Mambo Kings live on the big stage. Lawn seating will be available throughout the event. Hot dogs will be served by the Prosper Town Council and an assortment of food items and refreshments will be available while supplies last. The event is free of charge to the community thanks to the participation of Sponsors and Community Event Partners. Thank you to Title Sponsor CoServ and Stage Sponsor Stacey Zimmerman, Realtor, for your support and contributions. The event’s Community Partners will provide additional food and beverages. Thank you to Prosper Kroger on Preston Road and Prosper-based nonprofit agencies Lighthouse Church, Prosper United Methodist Church and Prosper Ladies Association.

Parking for Celebrate Prosper in the Park will be available at Frontier Park and also in the Prosper ISD stadium parking. ADA parking spaces are available in the parking lot near the Frontier Park pavilion and also in the PISD Stadium parking lot. Directions and the Event Map are posted at CelebrateProsper.org.

The Prosper Parks and Recreation Department produces a year-round schedule of activities and events which promote family and neighbor interaction within the community. Fall registration for camps and classes is now open. Special programs for Adults 55+ include weekly virtual and in-person games, Prosper Bowling every Tuesday, Virtual Visit with The Mayor on September 29 and a Day Trip to Dallas on October 27. In addition to Celebrate in the Park on September 25, upcoming community activities for 2021 include Champion Tree Contest from September 18-October 18, Prosper Arbor Day Celebration on November 6, Light Up the Night! Christmas Decorating Contest in December and the Prosper Christmas Festival, including the Community Tree Lighting, on December 4.
