The skies over Prosper will light up once again as the 2nd annual Pride in the Sky transpires on Friday, July 3, at Frontier Park. Sporting a definite patriotic theme, the Independence Day celebration begins at 4pm and runs, virtually non-stop, throughout the day. Come enjoy a car show, charity softball game, food providers, face-painting, vendors and shopping opportunities. A kids’ zone will be available for a small entry fee which includes a commemorative bracelet. From 5:30pm to 9:30pm, the In10City Band will perform at the pavilion and the evening concludes with a dazzling fireworks display set to music.
Officials encourage parking in the back lot of Prosper High School to take advantage of the free shuttles to and from the event. Commuters are encouraged to take Preston Road to Frontier Park as Coleman Street is closed from Prosper Trail northward for the summer. The eastern entrance to the park will be closed to all traffic right before the start of the event to allow unrestricted access for shuttle busses dropping off and picking up Park and Ride users.
Pride in the Sky is part of the ongoing Prosper Summer Series, a series of movies and events funded and orchestrated by PROSPER Magazine.
