Town of Prosper and PISD Partner for 9/11 Ceremony at Children’s Health Stadium Sunday, Sept. 11 at 7:30 p.m.

The Town of Prosper, in partnership with Prosper Independent School District, will hold a special 9/11 Ceremony at Children’s Health Stadium on Sunday, September 11 at 7:30 p.m.

The public is invited to attend the ceremony which will include remarks from Town of Prosper and Prosper ISD officials. Military veterans will also participate in the ceremony including an invocation, the National Anthem, America the Beautiful, Pledge of Allegiance, Tolling of the Bells, Taps, a remembrance video and a closing prayer. A mobile memorial with a beam from the World Trade Center will also be on display in addition to a flyover and fireworks show.

Leading up to the ceremony, the annual Carter BloodCare Blood Drive will be held Friday, September 9 and Saturday, September 10 at the Prosper Community Library parking lot located at 200 S. Main St. The Carter BloodCare bus will be on site from 7:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. Those who wish to donate blood are required to schedule an appointment online prior to arrival.
