Mayor’s Fitness Challenge 2021

We’re kicking off the new year in Prosper with community fitness! Get energized with Mayor Ray Smith and Parks and Recreation and walk or run at least 100 miles or bike at least 300 miles in 90 days! Turn in your completed tracking sheet for a free t-shirt and the opportunity to win a Fitbit. Post a selfie on our Facebook Event Page that shows a Prosper park or trail sign and earn a second entry in the FitBit drawing!

The Mayor’s Fitness Challenge begins January 18 and continues through April 18, with tracking sheets due by April 23, 2021.

At a Town Council meeting later in the year, Mayor Smith will recognize all Challengers and announce the FitBit winner, selected by a random drawing.

We encourage you to get outside, connect with nature at a Prosper park, and set personal Challenge goals. More than 22 miles of hike and bike trail await you in Prosper! Of course, indoor miles count, too.

How to join the Mayor’s Fitness Challenge:

Step One:  Register here. (Prosper residents only)

Step Two:   Download the tracking sheet or pick one up at the Parks Administration building (409 E. First Street).

Step Three: Log miles through April 18. (At least 100 miles walking/running or 300 miles biking).

Step Four:  Submit the completed tracking sheet by April 23, 2021, online or drop off at the Parks and Recreation office (409 E. First Street).

We’d love to touch base with you throughout the Challenge. When you register, please be sure to indicate if you would like to receive email updates from Parks and Recreation.
