National Night Out 2025

Here in Prosper, we celebrate National Night Out annually with our community. We strive to promote police-community relationships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, and more caring places to live. This is a fun opportunity for neighbors to get to know each other, exchange contact information, enjoy each other’s company, commit to looking out for one another, and welcome public safety personnel to their vicinity. All residents are encouraged to host or participate in a neighborhood block party on National Night Out.

Event Details

Officers will visit block parties around town from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m on Tuesday, October 7, 2025. There will be an official “sendoff” get-together at 5:30 p.m. at the Prosper Police Station, 801 Safety Way, Prosper, TX. If you're hosting a party, feel free to print and distribute the National Night Out Flyers to inform your neighbors. How to Host an Epic National Night Out

Throw a block party! - Identify a secure location for an enjoyable gathering, such as your driveway, or the community park in your neighborhood. Ensure there is plenty of room for visits from law enforcement and firefighters. Note: If you will be blocking off a street, hiring food trucks, or providing a stage for entertainment, a special permit application is required. Plan for food and beverage- Coordinate a potluck, hire a local food truck, or just bring snacks for sharing! Provide tents, tables, and chairs.
Offer entertainment-Consider options like hosting a movie night, renting inflatables or bounce houses, playing yard games, organizing a bike/wagon/golf cart parade, or providing water balloons and sidewalk chalk for the kids. You could even organize a contest such as a kids' thank you poster competition!
