The Town of Prosper invites the community to join in a solemn remembrance of the events of September 11, 2001. A special 9/11 Ceremony will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at 9 a.m. at the Prosper Central Fire Station, 911 Safety Way.
The ceremony will feature heartfelt remarks from Prosper Fire Chief Stuart Blasingame, Police Chief Doug Kowalski, and Mayor David Bristol. The program will begin with the National Anthem performed by Gabbi Foote of Hope Fellowship Church, followed by moving performances from the Prosper ISD Walnut Grove High School, including America the Beautiful and TAPS.
In addition to musical and spoken tributes, the ceremony will include a helicopter flyover by CareFlite, a ceremonial flag folding, and the placement of a flag on a steel beam recovered from the World Trade Center, presented by the Honor Guard.

- Ceremonial flag folding and placement on World Trade Center steel beam
