PROSPER, TEXAS (November 7, 2023) – Lace up your running shoes and join the Prosper Veterans Day 5K & Fun Run at Frontier Park, located at 1551 Frontier Pkwy, on November 11, 2023. The event, set to kick off at 8:00 a.m., celebrates the dedication and sacrifice of our nation's veterans while raising funds for the construction of the Veterans Memorial at Frontier Park.
This commemorative event, open to participants of all skill levels and age groups, invites runners and walkers alike to join in a day of remembrance and support. Whether you're a seasoned athlete or new to running, there's a race for everyone! Children, families with strollers and individuals using wheelchairs are all encouraged to take part. Spectators are also welcome to line the route and cheer on participants.
The picturesque surroundings of Frontier Park will serve as the backdrop for the races, promoting fitness, camaraderie and a sense of healthy competition. To secure a spot in either race, interested participants are encouraged to register by November 9. The registration fee is $45 for the 5K and $25 for the Fun Run.
The day's schedule will commence at 8:00 a.m. with a special program to honor veterans, followed by the 5K starting at 8:30 a.m. The one-mile Fun Run will take place at 9:00 a.m. View the race map.
