The Town of Prosper Parks & Recreation Department offers a variety of recreational and educational programs for both youth and adults. These programs promote physical fitness, social interaction, and personal development. Activities include sports leagues, fitness, STEAM, crafting classes, summer camps, and special events. A variety of programs is offered for Active Adults 55+ and Seniors that encourage activity, engagement, and connection with the community year-round. Social time, bowling, and weekly games are hosted regularly, as well as a Monthly Lecture Series and fitness classes. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for the residents of Prosper by providing safe, affordable, and accessible recreational opportunities for all!
Camps and classes are hosted primarily at The 407 Rec Center, 407 E. First St., yet maybe offered off-site if attendance merits. For tennis lessons, the Town utilizes the four lighted tennis courts at Reynold Middle School located at 700 N. Coleman St. in conjunction with Prosper ISD. Town classes and camps are reserved in advance and receive priority over open play on the courts. Dates and times of Parks & Recreation Tennis camps and classes are posted at the courts.
The Parks & Recreation Scholarship program is open year 'round so that community members can attend camps, classes, and programs when they are financially unable to do so. Assistance is available to Youth, Adults, and Active Adults 55+. Applicants may be Town of Prosper residents or reside within Prosper ISD boundaries.
Applications are held in strictest confidence to ensure privacy.
