Opportunities for People with Special Needs
Prosper Superstars is a special group that includes any and all Prosper families who have children with special needs. Parks & Recreation hosts programs to empower this group through recreational activities and social engagement. Superstars are assured of a supportive and welcoming environment where participants can engage in fun, fulfilling, and skill-building activities that promote physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Adaptive Shining Soccer Stars, Winter 2026!
Prosper is pleased to offer the Shine program, which uses soccer to teach life skills to children with developmental challenges. The curriculum, designed by educators and child therapists, helps children progress while encouraging them to work at their own pace. Sign up today!
Shining Soccer Stars Parent & Me Ages 2-4: Wednesdays, Jan. 21 - Feb. 25, 5-5:30 p.m.
Class focus is on simplifying soccer into specific components while teammates work together to build new skills in a fun, non-competitive environment. Coaches take you and your little one through fun, exciting activities!
Shining Soccer Stars Ages 5-7: Wednesdays, Jan 21-Feb 25, 5:35-6:05 p.m.
In this program, children learn soccer skills in a non-competitive environment, while promoting socialization, strengthening peer interactions, and advancing gross and fine motor skills.
Shining Soccer Stars Ages 7+: Wednesdays, Jan 21 - Feb 25: 6:10-6:40 p.m.
This group focuses on social skills and emphasizes the importance of teamwork! Soccer is used to promote socialization, strengthen peer interactions, and advance gross and fin motos skills in a fun, non-competitive environment.

Celebrate Prosper | Oct. 17, 2026
Celebrate Prosper is the Town's annual community party in the park hosted at Frontier Park. The family-friendly event is packed with fun including live music, exhibits, face painting, balloon artists, and a Kids Zone filled with exciting inflatables. As part of our commitment to making events welcoming and inclusive for all, we're proud to offer exclusive early access to this event to Prosper Superstars. We know some children may have sensory sensitivities or other unique needs. This even opens one hour early to give your family a chance to enjoy the fun in a way that feels safe, supported, and stress-free. This quieter, less crowded experience typically includes exclusive access to the Kid Zone, inflatables, petting zoo, and a free Kona Ice for every family member!
