Title VI Policy
The Town of Prosper is committed to ensuring that no person is excluded from participation in, denied the benefits of, or subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving federal financial assistance. This commitment is in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and all related federal nondiscrimination authorities. Title VI prohibits discrimination based on race, color or national origin in programs and activities that receive federal funds.
Filing a Title VI Complaint
If you believe you have been subjected to discrimination under a Town of Prosper program or activity, you have the right to file a Title VI complaint.
How to File:
- Complaints must be submitted in writing within 180 calendar days of the alleged discrimination.
- The complaint should include your name, contact information, a description of the incident, the date of the alleged act, and the basis of the discrimination (race, color or national origin).
- Complaints may be submitted by mail, email or in person to the Town of Prosper Finance Department at 250 W. First Street, Prosper, TX 75078, by calling 972-569-1015, or by emailing cashby@prospertx.gov.
