The Prosper Citizens Academy is a comprehensive 10 -week program that thoroughly explores Town operations and programs. It engages participants in meaningful experiences and activities while providing opportunities to interact with Town officials and department directors, visit Town facilities, and gain profound insights into the workings of their local government. Through interactive sessions, individuals can delve into the intricacies of their community's governance structure and develop a deeper understanding of its functionality.

Apply for the 2026 Prosper Citizens Academy What To Expect
Classes meet at a Town of Prosper facility on Thursday evenings from February to May. Most classes meet at 6 pm and last for approximately two hours.
Eligibility
- Each class is limited to 20 participants who are at least 18 years of age.
- Applicants must be residents of the Town of Prosper for at least one year at the time of application.
- Applicants must be registered to vote in Town of Prosper elections.
- Must commit to attending at least nine of the ten sessions.
- The Town reserves the right to limit participation to one member per household.
